Over the years, Mike has worked with thousands of trainee teachers and NQTs in a variety of different settings. He has provided training to schools, SCITTs, universities and teacher training partnerships, helping new teachers and NQTs develop their knowledge and understanding of areas such as assessment for learning, differentiation, questioning, stretch and challenge, Bloom’s Taxonomy, metacognition, feedback and growth mindsets.

Mike has also acted as a mentor, supporting teachers at the earliest stages of their careers through observations, coaching sessions and by modelling best practice in the classroom.

In addition, Mike has worked with schools to help them develop practical and effective induction programmes for newly-qualified teachers, as well as long-term development pathways for early-career teachers.
