Welcome to the Growth Mindsets Knowledge Base

How learners think about themselves affects how they act in your lessons.
What they believe is possible informs how they respond in different situations.
Growth mindsets is, at heart, about considering the extent to which learners see themselves and their abilities as open to change.
It’s not a panacea.
And it’s not a magical solution.
Rather, it’s a way of thinking about what’s happening inside learners’ minds when they experience the classroom.
How they see themselves.
What they believe is possible.
And the relationship between this and the decisions they make when faced with challenges, obstacles, and setbacks.
Here, I’ll share with you my take on growth mindsets, including dozens of strategies you can use in your classroom, with your learners.
Most of the blogs are short, sharp and to the point.
Practical ideas you can quickly adapt and apply.
If you want to go deeper and develop your thinking further, you’ll find blogs and articles clustered together in groups.
Reading a group is like reading a chapter of a book, giving you scope to dig deep into a particular topic.
There’s plenty to get your teeth into, and, as always, feel free to adapt and modify the techniques so they work for you and your learners.
